Company Profile

    Established    as    canner    in    1924.  We  are  located  in  Cieza  –  Murcia  in  the  Southeast  of  Spain,  in  a  traditionally  agricultural  area.  From  early  beginnings  F.  Martínez  Lozano  has  been  synonymous  with  speciality  and  quality  food.  Shares    are    widely    spread    among    the    Martínez    Lozano    family  and  since  the  very  beginning  the  continuity  of  the  company  to  the  current  family’s  fifth  generation  comes  from  a  close  attention  to  the  market’s  evolution.  The  company  is  based  on  a  very  strong  financial  footing  with  retained  profits  being  reinvested  in  the  company.
We  employ  over  150  people  and  cover  an  area  of  nearly    12.000  m2  of  which  5.000  are  devoted  to  production,  5.000  m2  to  warehousing. 
The    foundations  have  been  built  predominately  supplying  to  the  export  markets  and  now  more  than  95  %  of  the  turnover  comes  from  the  International  business.  We  are  a  key  provider  of  quality  Food  Service  and  Industrial  products  to  all  major  Food  Service  distributors  and  many  international  food  producers  of  fruit  and  fruit-based  items  as  well  as  to  very  well  known  supermarket  chains.
We  are  focused  on  providing  high  level  service,  product,  packaging  innovation  and  quality  products.
Sustained  growth  in  key  markets  include:  France,  Germany,  UK,  Italy,  Belgium,  Holland,  Scandinavia,  Usa  and  South  East  Asia  and  we  pursue  further  global  success  as  a  result  of  the  continuous  improvement  and  innovation.

    The    company's    activity    involves    a    continuous    effort    to    improve    the    quality    of    both    product    delivered    to    buyers,    and    service    provided    to    them.    In    this    frame,    company    is    ISO    9001:2000    certified.
F.  Martinez  Lozano’s  develops  sound  environmental  practices,  complying  statutory  standards,  preventing  pollution  and  minimising  risk  and  provide  an  extensive  education  program  for  employees  to  increase  awareness  and  participation  in  waste.

History, Tradition and Technology

    Although  the  first  steps  are  difficult  to  precise,  we  have  written  evidences  of  activity  at  Martinez  Lozano  in  the  year  1924.  Since  then,  the  continuity  of  the  company  to  the  current  family's  fifth  generation  comes  from  a  close  attention  to  the  market's  evolution  and  the  investment  allowing  the  adaptation  to  those  changes,  in  the  frame  of  the  continuous  improvement  policy.  Some  examples  of  investement  in  the  latest  years:

1999:  Renewal  of  the  factory's  ceiling.
2000:  Shutdown  of  the  remaining  production  plant  and  office  in  Lorquí,  concentrating  all  the  company's  facilities  and  activities  in  Cieza.  For  that  purpose,  a  new  4800  sq.  meters  warehouse  was  built.  A  new  labelling  line  was  also  put  in  service.
New  administration  computer  system.
2001:  Renewal  of  the  factory's  roof.
2003:  New  "bridge-weigher"  for  trucks.
                    New  section  in  the  computer  system  for  the  managing  of  the  quality  information.
                    New  line  for  the  production  of  pouch  packs.
